EMI now allowing DRM-Free music to be downloaded via iTunes

Today in tech we discussed about this newsflash Mr.U gave us.. about as you can see in the title EMI now allowing DRM-Free music to be downloaded via iTunes.

So as you must have read in Mr.U’s blog he was talking about this almost the whole class. And his questions were as follows:

What the future of music will be like?

I think it will be very predictable that people won’t buy it! I mean, I don’t do it, but like…if it is illegal, well no one listens..hacking and cyber bullying.. is illegal but is it stopped? NO!!!  AND MOST of the hackers.. are TEENS! So they don’t really listen, and they wouldn’t really, care and as Mr.U said they don’t get much money. Or like you don’t get a credit card for this age.

Will look like?

It will look very brief.. and they won’t make any money! Of course honest people would do it or adults..But still what do you think.. would you like free or payment?

and where will performers, record labels, recording studios, and the industry all together make their money in the future?

I don’t know, but most likely the recording studios will get at least some amount. Because, some people would have to buy a CD to copy. And maybe even artists will be broke, since they don’t get much money from CDs. They would get some money from performing. And end of the road. :(

Can the music industry be changed?

Maybe..if they can maybe open a site in which you get the song for free. But like, there is a certain price for each song and like how many songs you get the total. Will be how much the company gets. If you create an account.

How would you change the system?

By the example above.

Would you ever pay money for music?

No, but some how the company gets the money based on my idea. Or like you could play games.. and like you could earn the money like that and pay.

Who is going to change the system?

I don’t know.. maybe the company..?

Why is this so important today…and where does it lead us to tomorrow?

Because it may cause companies and artists to lose jobs and large sums of money. It may lead a HUGE disaster. Like sums and $5 billion to lose!! :s

I said what I THINK.. what about YOU?! post what you think in comments *-)  *-) *-)

What do I think…I think the music industry will have to change. If they don’t they will be known as “Remember when…” Something has to change, it will be interesting to follow this over the next couple of year.
